A Fallen Comrade.  Please keep Uzo Chukwuma Iheukwumere and his family in your prayers. Uzo was a full-time PhD student active in the dissertation process when he was killed in the line of duty working for the Nigerian Government.

In Memory of and Tribute to Dr. J. David DeLozier, Dean of the Graduate School.  His passing is a great loss to the university.  He was a major financial contributor and had a true love and passion for the Great Books. 

Chimdindu Eben Osuagwa, a graduate student working on his PhD and beneficiary to a scholarship given by the DeLozier family wrote; "It was not Delozier, it was death that died."  Chimdindu went on to write that Dr. DeLozeir is a living charity that helps students from low income countries complete their education. 

In addition, Dr. DeLozier leaves us with a list of books we should all have on our bookshelves.

Graduate School Dean. The Board of Directors appointed Yingqiong Gu, PhD, as the Dean of the Graduate School in 2008.  Dr. Gu earned his PhD in Physics from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA.  Dr. Gu updated all the science and technology books in the curricula to assure that our programs, although liberal by nature, are current and relavant. Special Faculty Appointment. Trinity College appointed its first Nobel Prize Nominee (1996), Professor Fedor I. Poddubnij, to its prestigious faculty in 2007.

Medical Doctors in India. Trinity College awards more PhDs to Medical Doctors in India than in any other country with which it is affiliated.  (One of the Trinity PhD students treated Mother Teresa!)
